St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship Announces Team Sponsors, Rosters  

ASPEN, Colo., December 4, 2018--A Who's Who in polo will compete in the much-anticipated Dec. 17-22 St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship.

Argentine 10-goalers Pablo MacDonough and Gonzalito Pieres and 8-goalers Alejandro Novillo Astrada and Nic Roldan head a star-studded field for three days of exciting polo action at Aspen Valley Polo Club and  Rio Grande Park.


MacDonough, currently competing in the Argentine Open with favorite La Dolfina, will make his Aspen snow polo debut with the Richard Mille Polo Team. Mille is the official timekeeper for the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship. Mille created the RM 53-01 Tourbillon Pablo MacDonough for its Brand Ambassador.

CARBONDALE, Colo., October 17, 2018--The highly-anticipated St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship will be held December 17-22 and for the first time will feature the inaugural Snow Polo Gala.

The glitz, glamour and excitement takes center stage at one of the world's top snow polo tournaments and only snow polo event in North America.

Porsche San Diego Defends Title In Polo America Beach Polo Cup; Alejandro Novillo Astrada MVP

Longtime player and U.S. Polo Association Secretary Stewart Armstrong was selected Most Valuable Player for with his consistent play and strong defense during the summer season.

Mandarina, Woodrow Farm Play Sunday In Triple Crown Of Polo Tournament At Aspen Valley Polo Club

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 31, 2018---The stage is set for the Triple Crown of Polo Aspen Tournament Sunday at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

Mandarina (Sarah Magness, Melissa Ganzi, Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Juan Bollini) and Woodrow Farm (Leigh Brecheen, Marc Ganzi, Nic Roldan, Tano Vial) will meet in the final at 11 a.m.

Mandarina advanced into the final with a 7-5 victory over Los Amigos (Pablo Dorignac, Stewart Armstrong, Lucas Lalor, Paul Foster) at Sopris Mountain Ranch. 

Magness and Novillo Astrada each had three goals and Ganzi added one goal.

Triple Crown Of Polo Tournament Highlights Final Week Of Summer Season At Aspen Valley Polo Club

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 30, 18---Aspen Valley Polo Club saved the best for last.

This 13-tournament season, featuring  ten grass tournaments and three arena tournaments, comes to an end over Labor Day Weekend with the Triple Crown of Polo Tournament, Just For The Love Of It Subsidiary and Labor Of Love Challenge.  

It is the first year the club is hosting tournaments over Labor Day Weekend during the three-day Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience featuring five-time Grammy winner Lionel Richie, Jack Johnson, Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr., Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Record Company and Afie Jurvanen known as Bahamas.

It is the first season players are competing for the coveted Triple Crown of Polo. The final leg will be held at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington in November.

Irina Kazaridi Photo Exhibition Makes Debut At Aspen Valley Polo Club

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 29, 2018---Polo fans and horse lovers were treated to a photo exhibition recently at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

Photographer Irina Kazaridi shared several of her fine art photographs from her horse collection and recent shootings in Florida for her new polo book, Santa Rita Polo Farm.

Kazaridi spent extensive time capturing images of world-class polo ponies and polo players at the Wellington, Fla.-based breeding farm and polo facility.

Her artwork was displayed throughout Aspen Valley Polo Club during the Aug. 19 final of the Mount Sopris Cup.

Los Amigos Win Carbondale Classic; Nic Roldan Named Most Valuable Player

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 26, 2018---Los Amigos came from behind to capture the Carbondale Classic Sunday at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

Trailing by one going into the final chukker, Los Amigos (Brian Boyd, Nic Roldan, Nacho Novillo Astrada, Paul Foster) scored four goals to defeat Casablanca (Carlitos Gracida, Grant Ganzi, Stewart Armstrong, Alejandro Novillo Astrada), 11-9.

It was the El Paso, Tex.-based Los Amigos organization's third title of the season.

Top American player Nic Roldan was named Most Valuable Player. Roldan had three goals, including one in the final chukker.

Casablanca Meets Los Amigos In Sunday Carbondale Classic Final At Aspen Valley Polo Club

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 24, 2018---Casablanca, last year's runner-up, will play Los Amigos in the final of the Carbondale Classic Sunday at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

In the round robin qualifier on Friday, Casablanca (Carlitos Gracida, Grant Ganzi, Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Stewart Armstrong) defeated Los Amigos (Nic Roldan, Brian Boyd, Nacho Novillo Astrada, Paul Foster), 6-4 and lost to Mountain Chevrolet (Michael Payne, Pablo Dorignac, Lucas Lalor, Juan Bollini), 6-5, at Sopris Mountain Ranch.

Alejandro Novillo Astrada led Casablanca with a game-high six goals. Ganzi had four goals and Armstrong added one goal.

Carbondale Classic And Just For The Love Of It Cup Highlight Fun Weekend At Aspen Valley Polo Club 

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 23, 2018---Aspen Valley Polo Club will host its eleventh tournament of the summer polo season this weekend.

Aspen Valley Polo Club Fundraiser Raises $537,200 For Aspen Valley Hospital Foundation

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 15, 2018---The Chukkers, Champagne & Caviar  fundraiser at Aspen Valley Polo Club topped last year's total for the Aspen Valley Hospital Foundation.

The club's summer marquis charity event, hosted by club owners Marc and Melissa Ganzi and Aspen Valley Hospital, raised $537,200, more than last year's total of $366,000.

The day-long event, held during the August 12 Rocky Mountain Open, was a winning combination of polo, sponsors and donors raising much-needed funding for facilities, new technology and programs. The funds raised will support the hospital's construction project, state-of-the-art technology such as new women's imaging technology and hospital's ongoing operations.

In the second round of the penalty shootout, Georgetown-bound Riley Ganzi converted a 30-yard penalty to clinch the win. Ganzi finished with a team-high three goals and was named Most Valuable Player.

Flexjet Defends Title, Captures United States Arena Handicap Tournament; Teenager Aiden Meeker Named MVP

CARBONDALE, Colo., August 9, 2018---Defending champion Flexjet made it two in a row Thursday in the United States Arena Handicap Polo Championship at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

On a perfect day for polo, Flexjet (Melissa Ganzi, 1, Alejandro Novillo Astrada, 8, Juan Bollini, 6) rallied in the second half to defeat The Polo School (Aiden Meeker, A, Carlitos Gracida, 5, Nic Roldan, 8), 14-10, in front of a good crowd and worldwide USPA Polo Network audience.

Fourteen-year-old Aiden Meeker of Fort Worth, Tex., playing well above his "A" handicap in his arena championship debut, was named Most Valuable Player. Meeker, a freshman at Culver Academy, scored two goals in the semifinals and one in the final while defending some of the sport's top players including Argentine brothers Alejandro and Nacho Novillo Astrada.
